WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — The Miami Trace High School Choir performed its Christmas-themed concert, “Let There be Light,” on Monday night in the Quali-Tee Design Performing Arts Center for a full audience of family members and friends.

The “Soundsations” group led the evening in their dazzling golden uniforms with “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “Light in the Hallway,” and “Snowy Day,” followed by the men’s choir performance of “Frozen Heart,” from Disney’s “Frozen,” as well as “Rise Up, Shepherd, and Follow.”

Next, the advanced women’s choir performed their rendition of “Christmas Star” from the well-known movie, “Home Alone 2,” and “Ring Silver Bells.” The entire women’s choir then performed “Noel, Noel” and “Looking for the Light (A Song of Winter),” which featured soloists, Alyvia Atkinson, Kendall Bickett, Valerie Blanton, Emily Keaton and Kera Robertson.

The Miami Trace Symphonic Choir joined together in their robes to perform “Hodie Fanfare,” “Season of Light” and “Brightest and Best,” followed by the grand and final performance of “Silent Night / O Holy Night” by combined choirs.
