Elliott Hatton, a sixth grade student at Miami Trace, traveled to Ohio University in Athens on Saturday, March 25 to compete in the regional spelling bee. Fifty-one competitors took part in this event, with the winner advancing to the National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. Hatton outlasted over half of the competition and finished in the top 25 for the event.
