Retired Teachers Association meets

Fayette County Retired Teachers Association members gathered in the Grace United Methodist fellowship hall recently, listening to the lovely love songs played on the piano by Jana Deeks.

Following a tasty lunch provided by the Methodist ladies, new president Susan Shuler opened the meeting. Peggy Lester spoke about a travel group, and Dick Glass gave the members information about ORTA’s name change and STRS happenings.

After the meeting the group got busy following the directions given by Dr. Norma Kirby, and with snicks, snaps and snips, lacy paper snowflakes were created. And confirming what we have always heard, no two snowflakes were alike. Will those snowflakes be the only ones we see in Fayette County this winter? The next meeting will be in the spring — April 13.
