On Feb. 6, Washington Court House resident, Gail Allen, retired after 32 years of serving on the board of directors of the Pickaway/Fayette Area Recovery Services.

Allen dedicated those many years to advocating for fact-based drug, alcohol, and addiction services to better the communities the agency serves.

“I wanted to give my time and energy to helping people overcome addictions and get back on the right path of life,” she said. “The agency has gone through many changes in the past several years, in Washington Court House and Circleville. Residential treatment centers have expanded and recovery housing is offered to transition back into a better life. I believe my tenure has made a difference by helping the agency grow and offer better services.”
