During the weekend of Sept. 27-29, more than a dozen Cub Scout Pack 112 boys and girls, along with parents and family, attended the Howlin’ At the Moon campout at the Chief Logan Scout Reservation, a camp owned by Scouts BSA.

The camp is located just south of Chillicothe, near Richmond Dale. Cubs participated in a variety of events throughout the weekend, including crossing a rope bridge, canoeing, archery, slingshot, learning the safety of and target shooting with BB guns, fishing, rope-making, camping and cooking.

In addition, Pack 112 was invited to raise the American flag for the day, where Cubs learned, practiced and completed a formal flag-raising ceremony for the camp. The local Pack was part of over 150 attending the annual event.

During the evening, campers went Trick-Or-Treating throughout the camp and participated in a campfire and spooky trail.

Also, during a recent regular meeting nearly 20 boys and girls from Cub Scout Pack 112 earned their Bobcat rank patch. Bobcat is the first rank along the Cub Scout trail that can lead young boys and girls toward the Arrow of Light, the highest award in Cub Scouting.

Cub Scouting is a family-oriented program open to boys and girls from kindergarten through age 11. Cub Scout Pack 112 is sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church of Washington C.H.
