Locals earn degrees at Shawnee State

Shawnee State University held commencement on Saturday, May 9, conferring degrees on 439 students with 250 receiving bachelor’s degrees, 179 receiving associate’s degrees and three graduates receiving master’s degrees.

Halona Van Pelt, of Washington C.H., earned an associate of applied science in medical laboratory technology.

Alexa Plummer, of Washington C.H., earned an associate of applied science in occupational therapy assistant.

Jessika Reisinger, of Washington C.H., earned an associate of applied science in dental hygiene.

Shawnee State University is a student-focused university offering a highly personalized, affordable and accessible education dedicated to the exploration of emerging technologies and emerging ideas. The university has graduated over 16,000 students since 1986.
