Police Incidents


According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Dec. 26

Criminal Damaging: At 5:15 p.m., Trevor Justice, of Aspen Drive, reported damage to his vehicle. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments/Possession of Drugs: At 5:18 p.m., officers responded to McElwain Street in reference to an unresponsive male sitting in a vehicle. Contact was made with Danny Ralph, of McElwain, who advised that he had consumed drugs earlier in the day. Ralph consented to a search, and drug paraphernalia, a syringe, and a baggie of white powder believed to be drugs were found.

Theft: At 7:05 p.m., officers responded to Walmart in reference to a theft. Mark Welch, of Yeoman Street, was arrested after he attempted to leave the store without paying for items.

Dec. 25

Telephone Harassment: At 1:17 a.m., officers were investigating an assault complaint at The Lofts, located at 113 S. Main St. During the investigation, a male began calling a female and was told to stop calling. The male continued to make phone calls, even after being told to stop calling. Preston Harmon was arrested and charged with telephone harassment.

Dec. 24

Person With a Gun: At 3:29 p.m., officers responded to 1121 Lakeview Ave. in reference to an intoxicated male with a handgun chasing a female. Officers arrived on scene and began securing a perimeter around the house. While officers were doing so, the male came to the front door, complied with officers and was detained. Through the investigation, officers discovered that the male had been drinking alcohol and got into an argument with his girlfriend. The male then chased the female out of the house while holding the gun, and was waving the gun around while outside. Jody Bishop was arrested and charged with inducing panic.

Stolen Vehicle: At 3:36 p.m., Toumany Mara reported that his vehicle had been stolen from his residence at 1184 Red Mile Blvd. He stated that the vehicle had been stolen sometime within the past few hours.

Dec. 23

Trespassing: At 6:10 p.m., officers responded to The Lofts, located at 113 S. Main St., in reference to a female trespassing. Officers arrived and located the female inside apartment 203. McKayla Groves was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing.

Dec. 22

Trespassing: At 2:26 p.m., officers responded to 1024 E. Paint St. in reference to a trespassing complaint. The complainant advised that a male was observed going into a vacant home. Officers arrived and located a male inside. The male had an active warrant for his arrest and was arrested. Brian Hinkley was charged with trespassing along with the outstanding bench warrant for his arrest.

Disturbance: At 5:15 p.m., officers responded to 555 Depot Drive Apt. 15 in reference to a disturbance between a male and female. Officers arrived and interviewed the parties involved. The male continued with his disruptive behavior after being given warnings to cease. The male was subsequently arrested and resisted arrest. Brian Wilson was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Theft: At 8:58 p.m., the victim, Logan Rhoades, reported that he was at Court House Fitness, located at 215 E. Court St. The male left earphones on a bench and departed. The victim realized that he had forgotten his earphones and returned. The victim was unable to locate the earphones and reported them stolen.
