MTHS to present ‘School of Rock’ this weekend

Miami Trace High School Choir will present the production, “School of Rock,” this weekend, March 1-3.

Get ready for a mind-blowing experience as the Broadway sensation, “Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock – The Musical” takes the stage and catapults you into a world where music reigns supreme. This electrifying musical extravaganza will leave you breathless, as it combines raw talent, infectious energy, and a heartwarming story that will resonate with audiences of all ages. It’s an unforgettable spectacle that will leave you tapping your feet and craving more.

School of Rock is not just a musical; it’s a celebration of the human spirit and the unbreakable bonds forged through the universal language of music. Join the exhilarating journey of these young rock stars as they discover the freedom and empowerment that comes from expressing themselves through their instruments and voices.

This year’s production combined the unique and varied talents of over 60 students, staff and community members.

Featured roles in this year’s production include: Kaley Moser as Dewey Finn, Robert Bennett as Richard Mullins, Carley Payton as Zara Mooneyham, Javen Hippely as Freddie Hamilton, Hannah Binegar as Katie Travis, and K’lynn Cornell as Lauren Turner.

Students involved with stage crew are led by stage manager, Zachary Gallagher and assistant stage managers, Isabelle Deskins and Rebekah Hesson.

Tickets are $10 per individual, and showtimes are: Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m.
