Carnegie Reader of the Week

0

Charles (Mike) Popovich is the Carnegie Public Library Reader of the Week. Popovich is retired from Nationwide Insurance and Timken Co. after totaling 50 years as a facilities maintenance manager.

What are you reading now? I am reading Shelby Foote’s Civil War chronicles and Ralph Peters’ Civil War historical fiction books.

When and where do you like to read? I read anytime and mostly in my three season porch. In the winter I read in my warmer living room.

What do you read, listen to or watch to unwind? To relax I like to read American history. Mostly about the Revolutionary War, Mexican War, Civil War, Indian Wars, WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Iraqi War and about the war in Afghanistan.

Where do you look for book recommendations and upcoming releases? The library has a monthly Book Page; I look in the Columbus Dispatch and any major book stores.
