Chas Grover demonstrates how to show a meat goat to the 4-H members.
How do you show a meat goat? That was the question answered by Chas Grover during his demonstration during the April 12 Rowdy Rancher’s 4-H Club meeting at the home of the advisors. All members taking a goat project to the fair felt the difference between a braced and non-braced goat.
In the advisor’s report, a reminder was given about the Camper Round-Up on Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. Clover bud sign-up is from April 15-May 1. Camp dates are June 6-10. A reminder was also given about the Fayette County Meat Goat Clinic to be held at White Oak Farm on April 25.
The club enjoyed refreshments provided by Tori and Drew Pontious. Next meeting will be April 26.
