On Wednesday afternoon, several individuals stopped by the newly-opened Autumn Treatment Center for an open house and a ribbon cutting ceremony welcoming the center as new members into the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce.
The treatment center, located at 321 E. Court St. in Washington Court House, offers treatment for both mental health conditions and Substance Use Disorder (SUD), according to chief operations officer Stephanie Duell.
She further explained they are able to provide walk-in appointments to allow people to be assessed and seen immediately.
The building itself has a room for counseling, telehealth, treatment, etc., along with a larger room for group therapy.
A psychiatrist will come into the office one day a week and also provide telehealth appointments. There are two nurse practitioners who work with the company — one practitioner will come in “several days” to the clinic while the other will provide telehealth appointments.
These providers will be able to order medication when needed for assisting with mental health and/or for treatment of SUD.
“We will also have a case manager that can get (clients’) insurance, transportation, and housing resources — all that kind of stuff that they would need,” said Duell.
The managing office for the company is located in Columbus while there is another clinic located in Circleville. Duell, however, is a local to Fayette County and said she has been working for nearly six years to bring in more services in relation to mental health and SUD treatment.
The company agreed to create a clinic in Washington Court House to help meet the local need for treatment options.
Duell explained they are interested in working with other local treatment programs rather than competing as different types of treatments work for different people.
