WILMINGTON – Wilmington College senior Mikayla D. Conrad of Clarksburg Pike, New Holland, is the recipient of the Communications Art Academic Excellence Award. The presentation was made at the college’s 35th-annual Student Honors Convocation, recently.

Additionally, Conrad was inducted into the Green Key Society, Wilmington College’s honor society founded in May 1951. It was organized to recognize superior scholarship by students from WC in the years following accreditation by the North Central Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges in 1944.

Juniors and seniors become eligible for Green Key membership upon the completion of 75 or 90 semester hours, respectively, with grade-point averages of 3.75 and 3.50 respectively.

Conrad, a 2012 graduate of Westfall High School, is majoring in agriculture and communication arts.

Wilmington College, a career-oriented liberal arts institution affiliated with the Society of Friends (Quakers), is located in southwestern Ohio, approximately one hour from Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton. The Blue Ash location serves a large number of non-traditional students.
