A report of a disturbance at a Peddicord Avenue home on Saturday resulted in police making drug-related and assault arrests.

Officers from the Washington C.H. Police Department were called at 7:44 p.m. Saturday to 717 Peddicord Ave. and located a woman identified as Patricia A. Howard, 28, at large. She was arrested on an active warrant and was allegedly found to be in possession of two needles, a spoon, a marijuana pipe, and a metal container with pills.

Howard was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of drugs. She reportedly has a prior drug abuse offense, which enhances the penalty on the possession of drug abuse instruments charge, according to authorities.

While officers were at the home, they were informed that someone inside the residence had been assaulted, according to reports. The male victim told officers that Leon J. Tyree, 38, at large, punched him in the face for no reason. The victim said that he was starting to play a video game when Tyree hit him unprovoked. Photos were taken of injuries to the victim’s left eye.

Both Howard and Tyree were arrested and taken to the Fayette County Jail where they are being held on bond.
