On Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Sugar Grove Church, the Top Performers 4-H club met and had a productive meeting. Club members opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and 4-H Pledge.

Afterwards roll call was completed to check that all members were in attendance. Old business was discussed as Kylie Pettit and Aubrey McCoy gave an update on community service donations that club members had brought in for their MUP Senior Cozy Kits. They were pleased to report that over 70 baby bags had been assembled and our donations were very appreciated.

After this, club advisors collected cookies brought in by club members to donate to an upcoming Blood Drive in February at the Grace United Methodist Church. 4-H online enrollment was discussed, and members were reminded that the deadline for online enrollment is nearing, so do not procrastinate.

All members were reminded that the Feb. 23 meeting is mandatory so advisors can collect club dues and be sure all enrollments are completed. Last year’s treasurer Averey Cockerill updated the club with the treasurer’s report. It was also announced that the club won second place in the community window decorating contest for 4-H week. The club moved to new business.

The club’s new business was discussed and the main topic of discussion was the election and installation of officers. Club advisors reminded all members that the expectation is to complete officer books and judging. Members who wanted to run for office stood in front of all club members, advisors, and parents in attendance, and gave reasons for wanting to hold the office.

Members listened and voted and the new club officers for the 2020 4-H season are as follows:
