Hike for Hospice set for April 20

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County will hold its annual Hike for Hospice on Saturday, April 20, to walk in memory or honor of a loved one.

Rain, shine or snow, for 33 years now, hikers have continued to gather and walk each year to commemorate loved ones while being a part of a good cause within the community.

The Hike for Hospice will begin at 10 a.m., following registration at 9 a.m., at Grace Community Church on 525 Glenn Ave. in Washington Court House. Activities for all ages will be available, including; a car show, a food truck alley, a live DJ, a photo booth, emergency vehicles and a bagpipe send-off.

Walkers can memorialize their loved ones with a memory sign, which will be displayed in front of Grace Community Church during the 2024 Hike for Hospice.

Tickets will be sold individually per walker, both adult and youth, at $14 per ticket. For memory sign walkers, the tickets will be $6 per ticket.

Sponsorship opportunities are now available for the 2024 Hike for Hospice. All net proceeds will go to benefit Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County patient care and services.

To guarantee an event t-shirt, please register by April 1. Registration for the hike will be ongoing up to the day of walk, but t-shirts cannot be guaranteed after April 1.
