According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Jan. 7

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments/Possession of Drugs: At 8:37 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. During the stop, the K-9 officer was utilized and gave a positive indication. During a probable cause search, suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia were located. An occupant was also arrested on a warrant through the Adult Parole Authority.

Jan. 6

Disturbance: At 11:40 p.m. on Jan. 6, officers responded to 1809 Columbus Ave. (Bluestone Inn) in reference to an intoxicated female causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers observed the offender causing a disturbance and while speaking with her noticed that she was highly intoxicated. The offender was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication (fourth-degree misdemeanor) and was transported to the Fayette County Jail to be held.

Jan. 5

Theft: Officers were sent to Kroger in reference to a theft. Upon speaking to the complainant, he advised that he set his phone down on the picnic table and that when he returned, it was gone. The incident is under investigation.

Bench Warrant: Officers were sent to the Fayette County Jail in reference to an inmate having a bench warrant out for his arrest. Officers were able to serve Michael O’Brien with two bench warrants out of the Washington Court House Municipal Court.

Bench Warrant: Officers were able to arrest Brayan Fuintes at the Holiday Inn Express in Room 125 for having two active bench warrants out of the Washington Court House Municipal Court. Fuintes was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail.

Jan. 4

Theft: Officers responded to 1133 N. North St. in reference to a theft. Upon speaking with the complainant, it was determined that an unknown person(s) had been using her credit card without her knowledge. The incident is under investigation.

Traffic Stop: Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of South Fayette Street and East Elm Street. During the traffic stop, K-9 officer “Edox” was deployed and alerted on the vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and located suspected drugs. The driver was cited for driving under suspension and given a warning for a stop bar violation. The suspected drugs were confiscated and placed into evidence to be sent to BCI for testing.
