Washington head track and field coach Louis Reid shared some comments following the conclusion of the meet on Saturday.

“I was very pleased with our team placement, both boys and girls. We had a goal of being top five on both sides and qualifying multiple events. We achieved that and had great attitudes and effort despite the conditions the past 2 days. I’m excited to see some of our seniors get to continue their season and I’m excited all of the events we have qualified to regionals now have a chance to qualify to state. I was really happy with our relays, both boys and girls. We qualified three on the girls side with two district champions and two on the boys side with two district champions. It was awesome seeing Allie Mongold win the 400 individually, and she was on the winning 4×2 and 4×4 teams. Mason Coffman won the 100 and 200 and was on the winning 4×1 and 4×2 teams. I’m very happy today with how everything turned out, these kids represented Blue Lion track and field well today;”
