WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — A local woman wanted on a felony warrant was arrested Sunday for alleged drug trafficking.

According to reports, on Sunday, May 7 while in the area of Eyman Park, Washington Police Dept. Sgt. Jeffery Heinz observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit and made a traffic stop. During the stop, it was learned that one of the occupants, 39-year-old Stephanie Allen, had a felony warrant for drug trafficking.

Heinz reportedly ordered Allen out of the vehicle, and the suspect was placed under arrest for her previous drug trafficking charges. However, after Allen was arrested, Heinz was granted a warrant to search her purse found inside the vehicle.

According to police, the bag belonging to Allen contained a red and white makeup bag which was full of blue packages containing suspected methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl, and other unknown substances. Approximately 22 grams of suspected meth and approximately three grams of suspected fentanyl were found, reports said. Approximately $350 in cash was also seized.

After Allen was brought back to the Fayette County Jail, she advised police that she “had drugs in her bra,” according to reports. These drugs were recovered and placed into evidence.

Allen was charged with trafficking in drugs, a felony of the second degree, and was served with the outstanding warrant.
