Lady Lions fall to Ironladies, 23-1

The Washington Lady Lions hosted the Jackson Ironladies on Friday in a Frontier Athletic Conference competiton. Jackson would score 23 runs on 21 hits in this contest on their way to a 23-1 victory of the Lady Lions.

Madison Haithcock would get the start on the mound for Washington. She pitched one and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs (six earned) on eight hits, with one walk and no strikeouts.

Mikhaylee Ragland would come in and pitch one and one-thirds innings in relief, allowing nine runs (eight earned) on seven hits. with three walks and no strikeouts.

Kalana Smith would pitch the next one and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs (two earned) on six hits, with no walks and two strikeouts.

Trinity Hixon pitched the final one-third of an inning, recording a strikeout.

S. Taylor started on the mound and recorded the win for the Ironladies, allowing one hit through two innings, while striking out three.

C. Michael pitched the final three innings, allowing one run (unearned) on three hits, with one walk and one strikeout.

Offensively for Washington, Lilly Shaw, Tristan Hammock, Addison Knisley, and Jordan Mead recorded hits on the evening.

Washington travels to Miami Trace to take on the Lady Panthers on Tuesday, April 18 at 5 p.m.
