Blue Lions win Jr. High FAC wrestling title, Panthers finish second

Miami Trace High School hosted the Frontier Athletic Conference Jr. High wrestling championship on Thursday evening.

With 205.5 team points, the Washington Blue Lions were the FAC champions for the 2022-23 wrestling season.

Miami Trace finished in second place, scoring 150.5 team points, followed by Greenfield in third place with 108 points, Jackson in fourth place with 90 points, Hillsboro in fifth place with 51 points, and Chillicothe in sixth place with 38 points.

At 80 pounds, Nathan Snyder (WCH) won the championship by pin in 2:10.

At 92 pounds, Eli Wilt (MT) defeated Riley Wiseman (WCH) in the championship match by a score of 17-1.

At 98 pounds, Abigail Forsythe (WCH) won the championship in a 6-3 decision.

At 104 pounds, Bradley Forsythe (WCH) was the champion with a pinfall victory at 3:34.

At 110 pounds, Hayden Lester (WCH) was the runner-up and Jeremiah Green (MT) came in third place.

At 116 pounds, Casen Snyder (WCH) was the champion, defeating Harper Dotson (MT) in the finals by a score of 5-0.

At 122 pounds, Quinton Marine (MT) won the championship by pin in 1:16.

At 128 pounds, Jacob Rheinscheld (MT) was the champion, defeating Remi Paul (WCH) by pin in 4:10.

At 134 pounds, Landon LeBeau (MT) won the championship via forfeit.

At 142 pounds, Wesley Gibbs (WCH) was the champion, defeating Corbin Dotson (MT) 22-4.

At 150 pounds, Jared Rivera (WCH) was the runner-up, and Kaleb Carter (MT) came in third place.

At 160 pounds, Alejandro Utera (MT) was the champion with a pin in 1:27.

At 172 pounds, Caleb Brown (WCH) was the runner-up, and Bryan McIntier (MT) came in fourth place.

At 205 pounds, Thomas Garrison (MT) was the runner-up, and Skyler Whitt (WCH) came in fourth place.

At 245 pounds, Luke Bennett (MT) was the champion, pinning Anthony Burns (WCH) in 1:15.
