According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Jan. 8

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments: At 4:24 p.m. after being stopped for a traffic violation, Megan Smith, of South Main Street, was found to be driving under suspension. Smith admitted to concealing a syringe commonly used to ingest drugs on her person. Other drug paraphernalia was also located.

Jan. 7

Theft/Drug Paraphernalia/Criminal Trespass: At 6:29 p.m., officers were dispatched to Kroger in reference to Brett Whaley trespassing. Upon arrival, contact was made with Whaley past the last point of sale. Whaley was found to be in possession of stolen merchandise and drug paraphernalia. Whaley was arrested and transported to the jail.

Theft of Motor Vehicle: At 7:44 p.m., officers responded to Village Court in reference to a motor vehicle theft. Upon arrival, the complainant advised that the suspect allegedly stole his vehicle. A report was taken.

Criminal Trespass: At 11:40 p.m., officers responded to Winkin Willy’s in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with Brian Miller, who was causing a disturbance. Miller was advised to depart and not return. A short time later, Miller returned, and was arrested for criminal trespass and transported to the jail.

Jan. 2

Endangering Children: At 12:58 p.m., Michael Ward, of Wilson Street, was arrested for endangering children after officers responded to the Adena Fayette Medical Center Medical Arts building in reference to a couple arguing over a child.
