Apples, maple syrup, & pumpkins at Wednesday Market

0

Please welcome our new vendors bringing local apples, local maple syrup and local pumpkins to your Wednesday Fayette County Farmers Market (and Saturdays).

These new product lines will join the local beef, brats, seasonal produce, mums, exceptional baked goods and craft items also coming to market today. This venue, in the TSC parking lot on Columbus Avenue in Washington C.H., 3 to 6 p.m., is without any sponsored central electronic processing and is therefore a cash-only market — except please note that you may use your Produce Perks tokens and $5 fruit and vegetable coupons, Adena Fresh Food Rx coupons, Fayette County employee coupons, Farm Bureau vouchers, and Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program coupons with participating vendors.

The following vendors have planned on attending:

Slate Hill Farm & Orchard (Greg, Carmen, & Joe Hood): Apples! Varieties available now include Gala, Fuji, and Crimson Crisp. Coming soon (Mid/late Sept) Enterprise.

New Martinsburg Maple Syrup LLC & Dave’s Pumpkins (Sam and Dave Bowers): Fayette County maple syrup and a variety of pumpkins.

Bridgeview Gardens (Hunter & Lorelle Rohrer): MUMS, green beans, onions, peppers, a variety of winter squash and other seasonal produce.

Jim’s Premium Ground Beef (Jim Hobbs): Premium ground beef in assorted packages (patties, bulk tubes).

Chilcote Farms & Cottage Baked Goods (Marlene Chilcote): Local honey, chocolate chip, oatmeal-raisin and iced sugar cookies, chocolate Texas sheet cakes and pumpkin bread.

Lehnert Meats (Bob Lehnert): Assorted brats, GREAT for grilling!

Mary’s This and That (Mary Ford): Peanut butter fudge, pineapple banana bread, apple butter bread, pineapple upside down cake, catnip toys and more.
