According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Aug. 20

Theft: At 10:59 a.m., contact was made with the victim, who advised that she had been scammed. The victim gave out her credit card information and lost a total of $1,000. A report was completed.

Failure to Comply/Drug Paraphernalia/Obstructing: At 5:31 p.m., officers observed Durant Peters, who was known to have felony warrants. When officers attempted contact with Peters, he fled on a bicycle. Peters fled through several properties and yards, and was apprehended a short time later. During a search incident to the arrest, drug paraphernalia was located. Peters was transported to the jail to be held.

Theft: At 7:22 p.m., contact was made with the victim, who advised that sometime overnight two mowers were stolen. A report for theft was taken.

Aug. 19

Criminal Damaging: At 9:28 a.m., contact was made with the victim, who advised that between Aug. 15-18 unknown person(s) had drilled a hole in her gas tank. A report was completed.

Assault: At 2:02 p.m., contact was made with the victim, who advised that she was assaulted. Due to no physical evidence or witnesses, a report was completed and the victim was referred to the city solicitor.

Criminal Trespass: At 6:51 p.m., officers were dispatched to Fayette Landing in reference to a criminal trespass complaint. Officers located the defendant, who was previously trespassed. The defendant was arrested.
