Celebrate spring at the Altrusa Craft Fair this Saturday while supporting the local non-profit.

The craft fair will start at 9 a.m. and last until 3 p.m. at Belle Aire Intermediate School, located at 1200 High St. in Washington Court House. The craft fair will be held in the gym and cafeteria of the school.

The craft fair is a one-stop shop for unique Easter basket fillers as well as decorations. Seasonal wreaths, custom decor, tumblers, clothing, baby blankets, cosmetics, jewelry and more will be featured by 30-plus vendors.

Concessions will be provided by Amy Mick. There will be raffles and a silent auction for gift baskets.

Entry to the show will be $2 with all proceeds benefiting the local Altrusa chapter.

Altrusa is an international non-profit organization making local communities better through leadership, partnership and service. They strive to make positive changes in communities through a variety of service, literacy, fundraising and international projects each year.

Altrusa enjoys the friendship, fun and satisfaction that comes from working together for the benefit of others. Each club develops a program that is tailored to local needs, undertaking a variety of hand-on service and fundraising projects each year. One of their shared goals as an organization is to improve literacy, which they believe is the key to opportunity.

Through Altrusa activities, they develop leadership skills in a supportive environment. Altrusa welcomes new ideas and aims to provide enough flexibility so that members can give their time in a way that works for them.
