Fayette County Public Health released the following restaurant inspections:

Nov. 18

Walmart Food Distribution Center #6089, 1400 Old Chillicothe Road, standard and Critical Control Point (FSO) inspections. Violations/ comments: Soil accumulation found in the following areas: kitchen walls near baseboards, inside Frigidaire reach-in cooler, utensil drawers. The facility and equipment must be cleaned as often as necessary to prevent soil accumulation. Stained ceiling tile in kitchen area. All leaks must be repaired and tiles need replaced afterwards. All food temperatures were good. The manager displayed good knowledge of critical control points and is certified in food safety.

Domino’s Pizza #2241, 60 Washington Square, standard inspection. Violations/ comments: no food safety certifications available. There needs to be one employee trained in managers course and one in person-in-charge. Low light intensity inside walk-in cooler. It appeared that one of the bulbs were out and needs to be replaced. Soil accumulation found in the following areas: pizza make table drawers, hand wash sink area, facility floor near baseboards and under equipment, hood fan panels. These areas need cleaned. Space found between hand sink and wall. This area needs to be re-caulked. All food temperatures were good.

Nov. 17

Whits Frozen Custard of WCH, 401 S. Elm Street, standard inspection. Violations/ comments: boxes of food found stored on the walk-in cooler floor. Food must be stored six inches above the floor to protect food from contamination. The boxes were picked up and placed on shelves during the inspection. Utensil handles found inside of the food content at sandwich preparation cooler. Employees were notified and said that they wear gloves but agreed to comply. Overall cleanliness satisfactory. All food temperatures were good. Employees were unable to give proper holding temperatures so recommended them to review and record.

Court House Corner, 1106 Washington Ave., standard inspection. Violations/ comments: no certification in food safety present. The person in charge must be trained in food safety. No trash receptacle for handwashing sink. The warewashing sink is broken and needs repaired immediately. Equipment must be maintained in good repair. The manager stated that the sink was scheduled to be repaired this evening. Soil accumulation found in the following areas: pizza utensils, walk-in cooler fan guards, shelves, restroom floor and walls, drink coolers, reach-in coolers behind service counter. Food and nonfood contact surfaces must be clean to prevent contamination. Warewashing sink not working — says plumber coming. Need trash receptacle for hand sink in wash room.

Nov. 16

United Dairy Farmers 655, 1710 Columbus Ave., standard inspection. Violations/ comments: no food safety certifications available. At least two employees must be trained in food safety. One must have managers certification. No sanitizer detected in sanitizer solution. Food contact surfaces must be sanitized. Cardboard used as a shelf liner in storage/ office area. Surfaces must be smooth and easily cleanable. A hole in the wall was covered by duct tape inside of the men’s restroom. Cabinets at food station are heavily worn and damaged. The walk-in freezer has ice accumulation found on facility’s walls near baseboards and shelves around service counter where the chips are stored. The facility must be maintained in good repair and cleaned as often as necessary to keep it clean. All food temperatures were good. Thank you.
