Patton sworn in as county treasurer

Penny Patton (third from left) was recently sworn in as the newest Fayette County Treasurer by Fayette County Common Pleas Court Judge Steven Beathard (far left). Patton was accompanied by family, friends and colleagues during her swearing-in ceremony. Patton officially takes office on Sept. 7. Susan Dunn is retiring as treasurer after serving in the tax office for 50 years with 28 years as treasurer. Beginning Sept. 13, the Fayette County Treasurer’s Office hours will change from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. to 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
