Commissioners approve purchase of John Deere loader


At a recent Fayette County Commissioners’ meeting, Fayette County Engineer Steve Luebbe was authorized to purchase a 2021 John Deere loader for $179,312 — trading a 2009 John Deere loader with an allowance of $54,000, making the total due $125,312 from Murphy Tractor and Equipment.

Also during the meeting, Fayette County Auditor Brenda Mossbarger was authorized to enter into a Master License Agreement with ISSG, Inc. The purpose of the agreement is for property tax software to be provided. Property Tax Software is a cloud-hosted, web-based tool for managing the life cycle of Real Property.

Two re-appointments were made. The first was of Phil Bartley to the Residential Building Board of Appeals for a five-year term to end September of 2025. The second was of Ron Weade to the Fayette County Fair Housing Board for a four-year term to end October of 2024.

A subscription for the software includes system management, hosting, storage, nightly extracts to county’s ftp server and current third party integration. The contract will end on Jan. 13 of 2024.
