According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Sept. 24

Theft: At 3:01 p.m., Tricia Wiseman reported that while her unlocked vehicle was parked at Ohio Thrift with the windows down, unknown persons stole items from inside of her vehicle. A theft report was completed.

Sept. 23

Theft/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: At 9:15 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Leesburg Avenue (Walmart) in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Loss Prevention, which advised that the offender, Cindy M. Butterbaugh, had committed theft from Walmart. During a search, drug paraphernalia was located. The offender was taken into custody and charged with the listed offense.

Possession of Drug Abuse Instrument: At 4:38 p.m., officers responded to the 900 block of East Temple Street in reference to observing a male with known warrants. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the offender, James A. Trisdale, who was taken into custody. During a search, officers located a hypodermic syringe in the offender’s possession. Trisdale was charged with the listed offense.

Theft/Possession of Drug Abuse Instrument/Criminal Trespass/Possession of Criminal Tools: At 11:03 a.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Leesburg Avenue (Walmart) in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the offender, Martin J. Hoagland, who had committed theft from Walmart. Hoagland has previously been banned from Walmart. He was taken into custody. Following a search, the offender was charged with the listed offenses.

Theft: At 9:06 a.m., officers responded to the 700 block of South North Street in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the complainant, Jeanie E. Rudd, who advised that property had been taken without consent. A report was taken on the complainant’s behalf.
