MT j-v girls beat Mustangs

DODSONVILLE — The Miami Trace Lady Panthers junior-varsity basketball rallied from behind to post a 28-23 victory over the Mustangs of Lynchburg-Clay High School Saturday, Nov. 24.

Miami Trace jumped out to an 11-1 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The scoring was almost completely reversed in the second quarter, with the Mustangs outscoring Miami Trace, 11-2.

Lynchburg-Clay won the third quarter, 9-4 to take a 21-17 lead into the final period.

Miami Trace won the fourth quarter, 11-2 for the 28-23 victory.

Libby Aleshire led Miami Trace with 10 points.

Emma Pitstick had seven and Magarah Bloom scored six.

Sierra Benney was the game’s leading scorer for Lynchburg-Clay with 12 points.

Allie Etienne had eight points for L-C.

Miami Trace is back at home Tuesday in the current building to take on Fairfield Union at 5:30 p.m.
