5 properties to be sold by Land Bank

The Fayette County Land Bank recently authorized the sale of five properties that have been transferred via auditors’ deed to the land bank.

The addresses of these properties are: 1015 Pearl St., 1596 U.S. Highway 22 SW, 7123 State Route 753 SW, and 7107 State Route 753 SW.

The properties located at 1015 Pearl St. and 1596 U.S. Highway 22 SW, Washington C.H., will first be offered to adjacent property owners. These neighbors will receive a letter from the administrator asking them to submit an offer to purchase the properties.

The buildings located at 7123 State Route 753 SW and 7107 State Route 753 SW, Washington C.H., have been declared to be in a state of disrepair and uninhabitable. The Wayne Township Fire Department will use the dwellings for training purposes. The board will determine how to dispose of the remains of the buildings after the fire department has completed training at a later date.

The lot located at 531 E. Elm St., Washington C.H., will be offered for sale through a sealed bid process. The property description and the process for potential buyers to submit a sealed bid can be accessed on the Fayette County Auditor’s website.

The Land Bank administrator will accept sealed bids for this property at the Community Action Commission, 1400 U.S. Highway 22 NW, Washington C.H., attention Steve Creed until 4 p.m. Aug. 17. Bids will be opened Aug. 20 at 10:45 a.m. at the Fayette County Administration Building, 133 S. Main St. in the fourth floor conference room.
