Blackhawks acquire Schroeder from Blue Jackets

CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired forward Jordan Schroeder from the Columbus Blue Jackets for goaltender Jean-Francois Berube.

The 27-year-old Schroeder, a first-round pick by Vancouver in 2009, spent time last season with the Columbus and the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League. Schroeder had 36 points in 48 games with Cleveland, but just two in 21 games with the Blue Jackets.

Schroeder has appeared in 165 NHL games with Vancouver, Minnesota and Columbus.

Berube, who’ll turn 27 next month, made 13 appearances with Chicago a year ago. He went 3-6-1 with a .894 save percentage.
