In the year since the Scott Antique Markets Antique Extravaganzas began in Washington Court House, the show has started to gain popularity and momentum. However, the people behind Scott Antique Markets won’t stand idle and are always looking for new exhibitors.

“It’s very exciting. Everyone loves the show,” Don Scott, owner of Scott Antique Markets, said. “It has the ultimate potential.”

Signing up for a booth is quick and easy. Exhibitors wanting to register for the extravaganzas should visit www.scottantiquemarket.com or call 740-569-2800.

“The first time an exhibitor sets up at our show, they can get their first booth free,” Scott said. “It’s something you don’t want to miss if you’re in the area.”

The next show will be from June 23-25 at the Fayette County Fairgrounds. Later this year, Scott Antique Markets will return Aug. 25-27 and Sept. 29-Oct. 1.

Hundreds of visitors and exhibitors new and old can enjoy the experience of treasure hunting at each show throughout the season in April, June, August and September.

Exhibitors are greeted early by a friendly staff on set-up day that will help direct them to their spot. Porters are also on standby waiting for people that need help unloading.

Golf carts meet customers in the free parking lot to take them directly to the show. Once past the gate, visitors are greeted by nice buildings, paved walkways, beautiful landscaping and other renovations, but the grounds still hold the same charm from back in time when the old great antique show was once held there.

Weather isn’t a problem at the shows, as most exhibitors are inside buildings or under tents. The staff also gives out water bottles when it’s hot and ponchos if there’s rain.

Exhibitors line the walkways and fill up buildings at the 50-acre event, leaving no dull moment for the antique hunter. Whether someone is looking for pottery, war memorabilia, furniture or anything in between, they’re sure to find it at one of the experienced exhibitor booths. Flatbed carts are available for those who purchase large items to take them to the customer’s vehicle.

Numerous food options are also available for those who plan on an all-day treasure hunt. Hungry shoppers can take their pick from multiple food vendors, including fair-style foods like pork tenderloin sandwiches and kettle corn, everyday options like wraps and pizza or they can stop in Willow Restaurant in an air conditioned building for a home-style meal.

The Fayette County Fairgrounds is close to the US-35 interchange, I-71 and US-22, making this show accessible to everyone. For those exhibitors who wish to stay on the fairgrounds, camping spaces are available for RVs and other parking on the grounds for an additional fee.

Numerous nearby hotels offer discounts to Scott Antique Markets enthusiasts. Restaurants, gas stations and other amenities can be found within a few short miles, making this antique extravaganza one to mark on every antique shopper’s and dealer’s calendar.

As the show continues to grow, it will soon join the ranks of the Columbus and Atlanta, Ga., shows as truly one of “America’s favorite treasure hunts.”
