Farmers’ Market has special connection with community

“Without a sense of caring, there can be no sense of community” – Anthony D’Angelo

One of the things that makes the Fayette County Farmers’ Market special is the sense of community that evolves between the visitors to the market and the vendors. The Wednesday market vendors are a special breed, making the effort to expand the market and relationship opportunities within Fayette County.

The market runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the TSC parking lot, 1650 Columbus Ave. in Washington C.H. This location provides easy access to vendors and parking. Credit/debit cards are accepted as are SNAP EBT cards —stop by the Jones Farm Fresh Produce for assistance.

Please note that the many vendors accept the Senior Farmers Market Coupons. These coupons will be distributed on Thursday, June 15 from 9-11 a.m. at the Fayette County Community Action Commission, 1400 US 22, Washington Court House. Individuals at least 60-years-old and meeting income guidelines may pick up $50 of farmers’ market coupons for fresh produce and honey on this date only. Questions may be directed to David Persinger, Fayette County Farmers’ Market at 740-606-3467.
