WEST JEFFERSON – Ohio State Highway Patrol Dispatcher Matthew A. Williams, a Washington C.H. resident, has been selected for the 2016 Ohio State Highway Patrol Telecommunications Award at the West Jefferson Dispatch Center.
The selection of dispatcher Williams, age 28, is in recognition of outstanding service during 2016 at the West Jefferson Dispatch Center. Post management, troopers, and dispatchers/communication technicians from the West Jefferson and Circleville posts chose dispatcher Williams based on technical job knowledge and ability, enthusiastic work attitude, teamwork, and prompt and courteous response to the public’s requests for information and assistance.
Dispatcher Williams joined the Highway Patrol in 2013 and served at the West Jefferson Dispatch Center throughout his career. Originally from Washington Court House, he graduated from Washington Senior High School in 2007. He received a Bachelor’s degree in criminology and sociology from The Ohio State University in 2011. Dispatcher Williams also received the Ohio State Highway Patrol Telecommunications Award in 2014 and 2015.
Dispatcher Matthew Williams resides in Washington Court House with his wife Erica and their two children, Gavin, 4, and Mattilynn, 2.
