Drug items in dumpster reported


An investigation is pending about a meth lab discovered by an employee at Summer Tree Terrace apartments in Jeffersonville.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, a 54-year-old employee made a phone call to the office about possible drug items in a dumpster at 71 N. Main St. in Jeffersonville.

A Fayette County Sheriff’s deputy reported Wednesday, Sept. 28 at approximately 1:30 p.m., that a generator was found in the dumpster and a non-active meth lab was inside a trash can.

The items were removed and packaged for disposal.
