The Miami Trace Lady Panthers soccer team hosted the squad from Clinton-Massie for an SCOL match Tuesday on Senior Night.
Massie won the match, 4-0.
The Lady Falcons led at halftime, 2-0.
Taylor Barrett had 12 saves in goal for Miami Trace.
The Lady Panthers had eight shots in the match to 21 for Clinton-Massie.
Scoring for Clinton-Massie were: Mikhayla Carter scored at 38:52, Sydney Leary scored with 32:26; Lindsey Carter scored at the 20:40 mark of the second half and a fourth goal came with 1:47 to play in the match.
“We have 11 seniors, so we started a senior at every position tonight,” Miami Trace head coach Caitlin Francis said. “That was pretty neat.
“Our girls played much harder in the second half,” Francis said. “We had a couple of breakdowns there near the end, unfortunately.
“We had some offensive runs, but we just couldn’t get the ball into the back of the net,” Francis said. “They have a strong defense.”
Seniors for Miami Trace are: Lauren Truex, Allison Streitenberger, Makayla Eggleton, Hanna Reisinger, Daria Thomas, Taylor Barrett, Gretchen Rife, Laura Capper, Natalie Thomas, Kenzie Vanover and Ashley Donato.
Miami Trace (3-11 overall, 3-7 in the SCOL) is at Washington Thursday at 5 p.m. and will host Hillsboro in a make-up game Tuesday at 7 p.m.
