The Miami Trace Lady Panthers hosted the Washington Lady Blue Lions on the new tennis courts at Miami Trace for the first time on a searingly hot Tuesday, Sept. 6.
Washington won the match, 5-0.
At first singles, Megan Downing defeated Cassie VanDyke, 6-1, 6-3.
At second singles, Anna Nestor beat Bayley Thompson, 6-1, 6-3.
Sydnie Hall won at third singles over Anita Pursell, 6-2, 3-6, 10-8 (third set was played as a 10-point tiebreaker).
At first doubles, Sierra Dawson and Mackenzie Cress beat Jackie Wisecup and Haiven Pepper, 6-2, 6-0.
At second doubles, Gretchen Milstead and Jen Richards defeated Cameron Bucher and Beth Hogsett, 6-4, 6-0.
In a j-v doubles match, Washington’s Beth Wilt and Camryn Waldrop beat Kyleigh Slone and Kenzie Seyfang, 8-1.
Miami Trace will host Chillicothe today at 4:30 p.m.
Washington will play at Clinton-Massie today at 4:30 p.m.
