The Washington Lady Blue Lion softball team hosted a tri-match Saturday, April 16 with Piketon and London.
The Lady Lions won both of their games, beating Piketon, 14-4 in five innings and winning against London, 12-8.
Against Piketon, Washington scored six in the first (after Piketon had scored three in the top of the first).
The Lady Lions added a single run in the second, four in the third and three in the fifth, while Piketon added just one run, that coming in the third.
Washington had eight hits and two errors.
Piketon had four hits and committed two errors.
Kate Jude got the win for the Lady Lions. She pitched five innings with four hits and four runs (all earned) with two walks and four strikeouts.
Washington got to B. Eick for six earned runs in one third of an inning.
Against S. Bennett, over four innings, the Lady Lions had eight runs on seven hits.
Jude went 3 for 4 at the plate with two rbi.
Madison Helterbrand went 2 for 3 with two runs scored, a double and two rbi.
Taylor Harrington went 2 for 3 with a home run, scoring twice and driving home three runs.

In the game against former SCOL opponent London, Washington took a 4-0 lead after the first two innings of play.
London battled back to take a 5-4 lead after their turn at bat in the fourth inning.
The Lady Lions scored four in the fourth to jump back into the lead, 8-5.
After a scoreless fifth inning for both side, London scored three in the sixth, to draw even at 8-8.
Washington scored four in the sixth and kept London of the board in the seventh for the 12-8 win.
The pair of victories brings Washington to 5-5 overall on the season.
Ciera Strahler started for Washington against London and pitched four innings to notch the win. She allowed five runs (two earned) on six hits and four walks and no strikeouts.
Kate Jude pitched three innings with three runs (two earned) on five hits with one walk and two strikeouts.
Jude had two hits and drove in four runs; Strahler had two hits and Kalee Crowe had two hits.
Wendy Hawk walked twice, drove in two and scored three runs.
Washington is back in action Wednesday with a game at East Clinton.
