After winning the Fairweather Relays in Chillicothe Saturday, the Lady Blue Lion track team hosted its first home meet of the season Tuesday, welcoming SCOL rivals Chillicothe and Hillsboro.
The Lady Lions won the meet, scoring 86 points.
Chillicothe was second with 65 points and Hillsboro was third with 24 points.
Washington split the relays with Chillicothe, winning the 4 x 800 and 4 x 200-meter events.
Starting the meet off in the 4 x 800, Maddy Garrison, Alexa Harris, Kirsten List and Alexis Gray won in a time of 10:36.69.
Washington’s 4 x 200-meter relay was comprised of Maria Wilson, Megan Mullins, Haley Pettit and Holly Inskeep. Their winning time: 1:56.57.
Garrison won the 1600-meter run in 5:48. She also won the 3200-meter run in a time of 12:18.77.
List was second in the 3200-meters in 13:53.35. She was fourth in the 1600-meters in 6:19.
Gray won the 800-meter run in 2:34 and the 400-meters in 1:01.
Wilson won the high jump, clearing 4’ 6”. Savanna Davis took second at 4’ 6”. Wilson won by virtue of needing fewer attempts to clear that height.
Inskeep won the 100-meter dash in a near photo-finish, 13.07 to 13.09 by Barnes of Chillicothe. She was second in the 200-meter dash in 28.21.
Raven Haithcock won the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 53.84. She was third in the 100-meter hurdles in 18.13.
Wilson was second in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.7.
Taylor Smith placed second in the shot put with a throw of 27’ 11”.
Mullins was second in the long jump, going 15’ 2 1/4”.
Davis was second in the 400-meter dash in 1:11.
Trinity Ragland was third in the discus throw at 74’ 7”.
Megan Downing placed third in the 400-meters in 1:14.
Chillicothe won the 4 x 100-meter relay in 53.6 and the 4 x 400-meter relay in 4:25.
The Chillicothe 4 x 100-meter relay was made up of Lanning, Barnes, Cousins and Sullivan. (The names of the members of the 4 x 400-meter relay were not available.)
Moberly of Hillsboro won the shot put with a throw of 29’ 11” and the discus throw with a distance of 89’ 2”.
In the boys’ meet, Hillsboro won the 86 points.
Chillicothe edged Washington for second place, 45 to 44.
The Blue Lions won the 4 x 800-meter relay. That team was comprised of Josh Trimmer, Branton Mitchell, Chris Conger and Brandon Underwood.
Jordan Morris won the shot put for the Blue Lions with a throw of 40’ 6”.
Trevor Hicks was second at 37’ 5” and Mason McCane was fourth at 36’ 10 1/2”.
Hicks placed second in the discus throw at 115’ 9”.
Kirkland Wilson was third in the discus throw with a distance of 109’ 10”.
Jacob Rice placed second in the long jump at 17’ 10 1/4”.
Caleb Rice took second in the 300-meter hurdles in 41.06.
Underwood placed second in the 400-meter dash in 56.26.
In the 1600-meter run, Branton Mitchell was second in a time of 5:19.46 and Josh Trimmer placed fourth in 5:20.27.
Trimmer was third in the 800-meter run in 2:21.03.
Jerry Knapp was fourth in the 200-meter dash in 25.68.
Chris Conger was second in the 3200-meter run.
In the pole vault, Hunter Sever was second at 11’ 6”; Liam Downing placed third at 11’ 0” and Levi Davis was fourth at 9’ 6”.
Washington was second in the 4 x 200-meter relay in 1:43.41. That team consisted of Jacob Rice, Caleb Rice, Jerry Knapp and Brandon Underwood.
The Blue Lions were third in the 4 x 100-meter relay in 50.19. That team was made up of Jacob Rice, Caleb Rice, Knapp and Ethan Smith.
Washington was third in the 4 x 400-meter relay in 4:01.47.
That quartet was Trimmer, Mitchell, Knapp and Underwood.
For Hillsboro, Goolsby won the long jump at 21’ 3/4”. He also won the pole vault, clearing the bar at 13’ 0”.
Conlon won the 110 hurdles (15.3) and 300-meter hurdles (40.46).
Hayton won the high jump for Hillsboro, clearing 5’ 8”.
Wildey won the 200-meter dash for the Indians and Gallimore won the 400-meter dash.
Hillsboro won three relays, the 4 x 100 (48.19), 4 x 200 (1:34.14) and 4 x 400 (3:42.39).
The 4 x 1 for Hillsboro was Goolsby, Hayton, Swayne and Anderson. The 4 x 2 team was Gallimore, Conlon, Anderson and Wildey and the 4 x 4 relay was Wildey, Anderson, Gallimore and Conlon.
For Chillicothe, Donavon Lowe won the 800-meters in 2:12.57 and the 1600-meter run in 5:01.34.
Ricky Villarreal won the 3200-meters for the Cavaliers.
Staggs won the 100-meter dash for the Cavaliers (11.56) and also won the discus throw at 124’ 4”.
Washington will be competing in the invitational at Nelsonville-York Saturday at 9 a.m.
Washington will host Fairfield (Leesburg) for a meet Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
