MT’s Ritenour receives All-District volleyball honor

Honorees for Division II All-Southeast District volleyball for 2015 have been announced.

From Miami Trace, junior Sam Ritenour was named Second Team, All-District.

Tabi Pontious of Logan Elm, a junior, was named Player of the Year.

Malia Berry, a senior from Chillicothe, was named First Team, All-District and will be competing in the state all-star game.

Madison Snyder, a senior from Hillsboro, was named Honorable Mention, All-District. She will play in the Senior All-Star Match Monday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. at Southeastern High School. The other seniors named below will also be taking part in that match.

Other players named First Team, All-District are: Leeanne Stevens, Jr., Circleville; Madi Eberst, Soph., Unioto; Maddy Wiseman, Sr., Waverly; Lili Kawasaki, Sr., Circleville.

Other players named Second Team, All-District are: Michaela Criner, Sr., Fairfield Union; Kassidey Winegardner, Sr., Unioto; Ashley Coats, Sr., Chillicothe; Chayden Pitzer, Soph., McClain; Maddie Bradley, Sr., Waverly.

Crystal Thornsley of Circleville was named Coach of the Year for Division II in the Southeast District.
