A Washington C.H. man pleaded guilty on Tuesday in the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas to possession of heroin and was sentenced to a mandatory sentence of six years in prison.

Francisco Perdomo, 35, was indicted on July 25 on one count of trafficking heroin, a felony of the first degree; one count of possession of heroin, a felony of the second degree; one count of possession of criminal tools, a felony of the fifth degree; and one count of illegal possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. The Fayette County Prosecutor’s Office dismissed counts one, three, and four as part of a plea agreement.

The night of June 25, members of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. #23 Major Crimes Task Force executed a drug-related search warrant at Room 234 of the Bluestone Inn on Columbus Avenue in Washington C.H. Detectives and task force agents served the search warrant following an investigation into alleged drug trafficking taking place at that location, according to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth.

During the search of the room, a substantial amount of a substance presumptively identified as heroin was seized, in addition to an undisclosed amount of cash, criminal tools, and multiple articles of drug paraphernalia, Stanforth said. The occupant of the room was identified as Perdomo.

Perdomo is also subject to a mandatory three-year period of supervision by the Adult Parole Authority after his release from prison. The Court ordered Perdomo’s driver’s license to be suspended for a period of six months.

Perdomo was awarded 123 days jail-time credit for time spent in custody prior to sentencing.
