Washington seeded 4th, Miami Trace 8th in volleyball Sectional

The Southeast District on Sunday announced the Sectional tournament pairings for Division II volleyball.

Washington (with an overall record of 12-9) is the No. 4 seed in the North and will host Sheridan (No. 5 seed, 9-9 record) on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m.

Miami Trace, with an overall record of 7-10, is the No. 8 seed and will host a match with Fairfield Union (No. 9 seed, 3-15 record) on Monday, Oct. 19 at 6 p.m.

The winner of that match will play at the No. 1 seed Unioto (16-2) on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m.

The winner of the Unioto match will host the winner of the Washington-Sheridan match for the Sectional championship on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 4 p.m.

The District semifinals are set for Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. at Southeastern High School near Chillicothe.

The District championship match is slated for Saturday, Oct. 31 at 4 p.m. at SEHS.

Hillsboro (10-8) is the No. 7 seed. They will play at Circleville (No. 2 seed, 15-3) on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m.

McClain is the No. 6 seed with a record of 10-7. They will play at No. 3 seed Logan Elm Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m.

The winners of those two matches will meet for the Sectional championship on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 4 p.m.

Chilllicothe is a No. 5 seed in the South with a record of 13-7. They will play at No. 4 seed Waverly (with a record of 14-5) on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m.
