HILLSBORO — The Miami Trace girls golf team competed in the South Central Ohio League tournament Saturday at the Hillsboro Elks golf course.
Hillsboro won the tournament with a score of 208 and finished the SCOL schedule with a record of 15-0.
Clinton-Massie was second at the tournament, shooting a team total of 227 and finished second in the SCOL with a record of 12-3.
Miami Trace placed third at the tournament with a 242 and placed third in the league for 2015 with a record of 8-7.
McClain was fourth with a 251 and placed fourth in the final league standings at 7-8.
Wilmington was fifth with a 278 and completed the SCOL with a record of 3-12.
East Clinton was sixth with a 281 and went 0-15 on the season.
Emily Loudin and Kristin Jameison of Hillsboro were medalists, each with a 50.
Lindsey Worley had the low score of 59 for Miami Trace.
Makayla Eggleton, Tori Riley and Madisyn Callahan each shot a score of 61.
Miranda Wheeler shot a 63 and Katie Ziegler shot a 66.
“I was very pleased with the way our girls improved throughout the year,” Miami Trace coach Chris Miller said. “To finish third behind Clinton-Massie and Hillsboro, who have very solid programs, I was excited for our young ladies.”
Miranda Wheeler and Madisyn Callahan were named Second Team, All-SCOL for 2015.
