On yet another picture-perfect early fall afternoon, the Miami Trace girls golf team went out on their home course at the Club at Quail Run to take on East Clinton in an SCOL match.
Miami Trace won the match, 232 to 267.
Miami Trace finishes the regular season with a record of 5-5. All of the matches were played against SCOL opponents.
Thursday marked the final match of the regular season for Miami Trace. It was also the final home match for three seniors; Miranda Wheeler, Katie Ziegler and Madisyn Callahan.
Wheeler and Makayla Eggleton shared medalist honors, each with a score of 57.
Tori Riley and Lindsey Worley both shot 59 for Miami Trace.
Callahan shot a 60 and Ziegler a 62.
For East Clinton: Egypt Suiter, 62; Kaitlyn Boysel, 66; Hannah Stern, 69; Gracie McCarren, 70, Halie Rhinehiemer, 73.
Next up for Miami Trace will be the SCOL tournament, set for 9 a.m. Saturday at the Hillsboro Elks course. This year, it will be a 9-hole tournament.
Hillsboro went 10-0 in the SCOL and Clinton-Massie went 8-2.
Miami Trace will then compete in the Sectional tournament Monday at the Chillicothe Country Club.
