The Miami Trace Football Parent Club has combined efforts with other MT Local Schools’ organizations and local sponsors to bring together another year of “Rally In The Alley.”

The event will be held on Aug. 22 from 5 until 9 p.m. with many vendors and non-profit organizations dedicated to selling goods or talking with patrons at the Miami Trace High School. The annual fish fry that is held by the Miami Trace Athletic Boosters will be held starting at 4 until 7 p.m. during the event and the Miami Trace Band Boosters will assist in the fish fry as well this year.

“This will be the second year this group of parents has come together to hold this event,” Laura Hottinger, football parent and one of the event organizers, said Wednesday during a phone interview. “Last year was successful and nearly 1,000 people made it out to support the Miami Trace football program and Miami Trace schools.”

Other attractions during the event include a dunk tank, where in past years the administration of the groups or schools would take turns being dunked; a silent auction, with many signed sports memorabilia items up for grabs; as well as the marching band holding a preview of the music it will be playing during the games this fall.

Additionally starting at 8 p.m., all of the high school and middle school fall athletes and marching band members will be introduced individually. This is for the crowd to honor and cheer them on for the upcoming season.

“We have 31 local vendors and non-profits ready to attend and this is also the day we are starting off the Signature Shirt sale,” Hottinger said. “We are planning on selling Miami Trace Panther merchandise during the event. Tickets to the fish fry dinner will be $8 and they can be purchased from local area businesses in the coming weeks. We are really looking forward to another great event.”

Several Miami Trace organizations and local sponsors have come together to hold “Rally In The Alley” again this year on Aug. 22 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Miami Trace High School.
