Calling all Congregations

Fayette County Memorial Hospital (FCMH) is partnering with Susan G. Komen Columbus to launch the Worship in Pink program.

This program is for congregations of all faiths with the goal of increasing breast cancer awareness and linking women to local resources. We invite all those congregations interested to attend our informational breakfast meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 9 a.m. in the Medical Arts Building 2 conference room. Please reserve your space by Aug. 5. For more information and to R.S.V.P. please contact Shara Evans at 740-333-5186 or [email protected].

Volunteers at places of worship may register as a “Worship in Pink coordinator” for their organization. We will provide all the necessary materials needed to plan an educational event during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, on either Oct. 4, 11, 18 or 25. Other dates are available if you plan to have it on a different day of the week. The materials will be available for each coordinator to pick up the last week in September. This program is provided free of charge as an educational event towards Susan G. Komen Columbus’ mission of ending breast cancer forever.

During the breakfast we’ll share more about Worship in Pink and provide you the information and tools needed to bring this program to your place of worship. As our guest, you will enjoy a nice breakfast as well. After the breakfast you can decide if you would like to register and have a Worship in Pink at your congregation.

Fayette County Memorial Hospital is a critical access hospital (25-bed hospital) with over 30 healthcare providers, complete with a full spectrum of healthcare services.
