A drug-related search warrant served at the Bluestone Inn in Washington C.H. Thursday night resulted in the arrest of one man and the alleged recovery of heroin and cash.

Shortly after 9:30 p.m. Thursday, members of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. #23 Major Crimes Task Force executed the warrant at Room 234 of the Bluestone Inn on Columbus Avenue. Detectives and task force agents served the search warrant following an investigation into alleged drug trafficking taking place at that location, according to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth.

During the search of the room, a substantial amount of a substance presumptively identified as heroin was seized, in addition to an undisclosed amount of cash, criminal tools, and multiple articles of drug paraphernalia, Stanforth said. The occupant of the room, identified as Francisco Perdomo, 35, of Washington C.H., was taken into custody without incident.

Perdomo was charged with trafficking in drugs (heroin) within 1,000 feet of a school zone, possession of criminal tools, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was incarcerated in the Fayette County Jail.

Perdomo appeared in Washington C.H. Municipal Court Friday for his arraignment. His bond has been set at $105,000.
