Anne Quinn, head of Carnegie Public Library’s Children’s Services, educated two dozen members of Altrusa International of Washington C.H. at the recent program meeting of this local service club that emphasizes literacy. She highlighted an impressive number of special events scheduled for both adults and children at the library during this summer, then followed that with an update on Main Street Fayette, the successor to Alliance for a Prosperous Downtown. Quinn praised Altrusans Sonja Seiler, a generous donor to the library through the years; and Elaine Crutcher and Jeannie Bihl, who have both recently taught classes there.
