Panthers 3rd, Blue Lions 4th in SCOL boys golf

The South Central Ohio League held its final boys golf tournament on what turned into a beautiful early fall afternoon at the Snow Hill Country Club Monday, Sept. 26.

Miami Trace’s Mitchell Creamer won the individual SCOL championship with a three-over par score of 73. Creamer was the points leader in the SCOL for the season with 197, the No. 1 golfer in the league.

Miami Trace was second in the tournament with a team score of 347.

The Panthers placed third overall in the league for 2016 with a record of 20-8. Miami Trace was fifth in the SCOL last year.

Again this year, it was Clinton-Massie taking the league title in boys golf with a 28-0 record. The Falcons won the SCOL tournament with a team score of 337.

Wilmington was second this year (the Hurricane was sixth last year) with a team record of 22-6. Wilmington shot a 348 at the league meet.

The Washington Blue Lions placed fourth in the league with a record of 16-12. The Blue Lions were third last year in the league.

The Blue Lions had a team score of 355 at the SCOL tournament.

Kyler Mount shot the low score of 80 for Washington.

Mount had the second-highest point total (195) and was named First Team, All-SCOL.

Washington’s Griffin Shaw shot a score of 90 at the SCOL tournament. He is a member of the First Team, All-SCOL golf team for 2016.

Miami Trace’s Tyler Eggleton had a score of 92 at the SCOL tournament. He was named First Team, All-SCOL.

Also for the Panthers at the SCOL tournament, Jacob Batson had a score of 90, Ashton Cox shot a 92 and Hayden Walters shot a 100.

Also for the Blue Lions at the SCOL tournament, Gabe Arazo shot an 89, Tyler Rood, 96 and Brock Morris, 105.
