Lady Lion volleyball beats East Clinton

LEES CREEK — In Washington’s last-ever SCOL volleyball match at East Clinton, the Lady Lions prevailed with a 3-1 victory on Tuesday, Aug. 30.

Scores of the sets were: 26-24, 19-25, 25-21 and 25-8.

The South Central Ohio League is disbanding after the 2016-17 high school sports season.

For the Lady Lions (now 2-2 overall, 2-1 in the SCOL), Faith Kobel led the offense with 9 kills and 6 solo blocks.

Victoria Jones had 8 kills and 2 solo blocks.

Miranda Landis had 6 kills.

On defense, Haley Maxie had 20 digs and Delaney Greer had 12 digs.

Halli Wall, Landis, and Delaney Greer had 2 aces each.

Washington was at Hillsboro Thursday and will be playing at Unioto Saturday.

Washington will play at Wilmington for the final time in the SCOL on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

Washington will be at Logan Elm Wednesday, Sept. 7 and will host McClain Thursday, Sept. 8.
